My Travel Wish List

Travel list

You know that feeling that you get when you hear about someone’s travel plans and you get all excited about their destination? And if you’re me you will quickly find yourself saying “Ohh, I have always wanted to go there!” This happens to me quite often (really, on a daily basis wouldn’t be exaggerating) so this inspired me to put together a list of my absolute must see travel destinations. Now this isn’t a complete list of all the places I want to see, because that list would be more of a book really. This Travel Wish List has the highlights of the destinations I wish to be lucky enough to see with my own eyes one day. I will keep this list as a permanent feature on the top bar of the blog to remind myself of all the beautiful places I am yet to see – And of course I will be crossing off those places I go see!

  • Loving this blog, Annika! Well done! However, I feel you’re missing some rather essential places on your Latin America list! Needless to say, all my suggestions are in Brazil.

    * Go from Manaus to Tabatinga on a cargo boat. A whole week along the length of the Amazon River. It’s actually indescribable:)
    * Swim with wild dolphins in Praia da Pipa
    * Just BE in Rio de Janeiro
    * Go to a candomblé session in Salvador

And a few I haven’t yet experienced myself, but certainly will…

    * The remote and exotic exo-paradise that is Fernando de Noronha
    * See the constantly changing sand dunes in Lencois Maranheses National Park
    * Climb mountains, visit caves and swim in crystal clear lakes in Chapada Diamantina National Park
    * See jaguars in the Pantanal

That’s just a small part of my very modest Brazil list…! Hope it inspired you a little bit:)

    • Thank you Marte! Hahah, you are correct Brazil does seem to be missing from my list…I guess your Brazil adventures never end! But now that you mentioned at least the boat ride along Amazon should be on this list, it sounds pretty epic!

  • Annika, I love your blog!! It’s so crisp and clean, and you take wonderful pictures!! I love this travel wish list, and it’s think it’s SUCH a great idea to categorize this list by location! This inspires me to reorganize my bucket list! 🙂 I think you should definitely add Indonesia under the ASIA category- I would suggest Ubud, Bali and the Temple of Borobudur in Yogyakarta 🙂 Can’t wait to continue reading your pieces!

    • Thank you for your lovely comment Casey! Hahah, I like categorizing stuff, it makes it so much easier rather than thinking of the whole world and where to visit. My Asia category is very short – I think there would be room for Indonesia 😉 I am sure that once I make my way to Asia and experience more of the culture I will have many many places to add..
