Tour du Mont Blanc in pictures

Refugio Elisabetta

In mid-June I headed to Europe to do my first long distance hiking trail, the famous Tour du Mont Blanc. The tour started in France, continued on to Switzerland for a couple of days, crossed over to Italy and then finally back to France. The scenery was simply spectacular and now I really want to share some of the highlights with you!

If these pictures don’t make you want to run from your desk job and head to the mountains, I don’t know what will!

Even at lower altitudes the views were stunning. The contrast between sky, mountains and water was amazing on cloudless days, which luckily were many! When going to higher altitudes towards 2500m there was more and more snow which changed the scenery completely.

What I loved most on this trek was the fact that whether I looked somewhere really close to me or far in the distance, I could see beautiful things; like tiny little flowers or massive glaciers.

This was easily the most spectacular hike I have ever done and now looking at the pictures it feels almost surreal that I was there just a few weeks ago! There will be more posts about this trek coming soon, so stay tuned for more mountain scenery! In the meantime, feel free to follow Live Laugh Explore’s new Facebook page to stay up to date on what’s happening with the blog!
